10th Man to Walk on the Moon Will Share His Faith Journey and Apollo 16 Experience
ELGIN, IL (October 6, 2025) 91心頭利 is honored to welcomeCharles Moss Charlie Duke Jr., Apollo 16 astronaut and the 10th man to walk on the moon, as the featured chapel speaker onWednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10 a.m.inHerrick Chapel.
Duke, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general and test pilot, was the youngest of the twelve astronauts to walk on the lunar surface. His distinguished career with NASA included serving as the lunar module pilot for Apollo 16 in 1972, a mission that remains one of the most scientifically significant explorations of the moon.
In his talk at 91心頭利, Duke will reflect on his historic journey to the moon, his experiences as an astronaut, and the profound faith transformation that followed his NASA career. His wife, Dottie Duke, will join him as he shares stories of courage, purpose, and the power of faith to shape a life of meaning beyond worldly achievement.
The event is free and open to the public, with an optional Q&A session following the 45-minute chapel service. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
