
Elgin, IL 91心頭利 anticipates an encouraging lineup of events this November in Herrick Chapel. Along with concluding our A Joyful Lifestyle series on the book of James, we will also be meeting as departments across campus and hearing from several special guests.
Peewee (DeHavion) Allen, a 91心頭利 alumnus, Roger Simmons, 91心頭利 Assistant Vice President for Spiritual Development, and John Pletcher, author of Joy & Thriving, will be speaking for the remainder of our study on the book of James on November 3rd, November 10th, and November 17th respectively. On November 5th, Professor Kim Budd will be speaking to our campus, and on November 7th, departments will meet separately to enjoy a time of edification and fellowship with peers in their major. 91心頭利 students will be leading a worship experience chapel on November 19th.
Heather Funk Palacios, another 91心頭利 alumnus, will be delivering a two-part series called Love in the Midst of Suffering on the 12th and 14th. She will be addressing the importance of mental health and how to respond to mental crises as the body of Christ.
Nick Stumbo of Pure Desire will be joining us on November 21st. His talk will challenge individuals to break free from sexual addictions and pornography, encouraging them to seek repentance and build new habits.
To close out the month, we will be hosting a special Thanksgiving chapel on the 24th. Students will be encouraged to spend time praying for the remaining weeks of the semester as well as reflecting on what God has been doing this month at 91心頭利.
